Silvia Rose is, as what we call a “goer” .(And now a Terrific Two. Well almost, we celebrated a few days early to take advantage of the sunshine and a break in the fishing season so her hard working dad and uncle could be there.)
This afternoon from 4:30-5:30 there will be a classical violin concert at the museum to kick off First Friday festivities downtown. The musician is a European kayaker who paddled up from Vancouver Island and is on her way to Dawson City. (She’s staying with my friend Anna, who heard her playing, and says it is not be missed.) Jim Heaton’s new totem pole with the tourist on it will be dedicated at the museum at 5:30, the lovely and talented Bochart sisters will be performing around six at the Arts Confluence on Main Street, Carol Clifton’s paintings will be on display at Joanie’s Skipping Stone Gallery next door, and there is a country duo playing at the Pioneer tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow morning the Fair hosts a Farmer’s Market 10-1 and then there is a high school cross-country meet there.
