Wednesday I will have a virtual visit at The Atlanta History Center with Atlanta author Jessica Handler, who has written the book on how to write about grief– literally, it’s called Braving the Fire, as well as a best selling memoir and a novel. It’s at 7pm Atlanta time. I feel bad that some of you that wanted to go, missed the chat in San Francisco Monday night because I didn’t tell you soon enough. I didn’t want to be too pushy, and figure you can see my appearances on another part of this site if you really want to– but then again, maybe you are more like me? I lose the Zoom link for church every Sunday… sheesh.
The nice thing about the virtual events is that you can be at home in comfy clothes with tea or as my co-host in Homer was, a pint of local stout. Your dog can come too. And they only last an hour. I originally thought that they would be pretty much the same, like book talks, but because of the variety of the superhero conversationalists, they aren’t. The caliber of the people I’m speaking with is a tad daunting. I’m learning from them.
If you want to save the dates (and google the host stores) here are some more events:
