“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.”– Mark Twain
Oh my gosh. I am off to Italy with my daughter JJ. (What was I thinking?– Wait– it will be so fun..once we board the plane I’ll be fine…) She planned the whole trip. (Italy!) I assured her that I’d go to New Jersey to have her undivided attention for 2 weeks, but luckily for me she’s a world traveler. I kind of hate to leave all five grand children (JJ’s sister is here with her family to keep Chip company) but as my kids all assure me– the time will fly and they will still be here when I return, as will Grandma Joanne for her annual visit. Also, Mark Twain was right– nothing adds perspective to life than a journey out of the familiar. Wish us luck!
I am not bringing a tablet or laptop (just an old-school paper journal) but will have limited email access on my my phone– still, if I don’t reply to your note until I return, please forgive me.
