A Gold Rush Alaska “Grandpa John” Story

It was so great to see my friend Nancy on Gold Rush Alaska last night (that would be Parker’s mother) speaking for all mothers when she tells 17 year-old Parker to straighten up. This is why she is my daughter JJ’s Godmother and why JJ declared last night’s episode “the best Gold Rush ever.” Also, it reminded me of a a Morning Edition commentary I did about Grandpa John Schnabel’s 80th birthday, sort of,  you can listen to it here to learn a little more about what makes the Porcupine Creek crew tick.
