That’s what I texted my friend when she said she bet it was busy here. Ivy is still sleeping, Chip is walking the dogs.

The cat has come down and gone back upstairs. JJ is reading to the kids and they have finished a big box of Costco strawberries from Juneau ( we all pretty much feasted on the luxury of them.)
JJ arrived yesterday with two more grandchildren, because, “Why not have a big sleepover?” and we invited Teddy over after his sister’s basketball game and before the next game in the tourney to have dinner, and he stayed for the Peter Rabbit movie.

But what I wanted to tell you, aside from the good feeling a messy house full of grandchildren generates, is that the Juneau teams traveled here on the same very small ferry that our daughter and little kids rode on, and the Juneau elementary and middle school players and coaches waited until all the locals boarded the smaller than usual boat (it’s a tour boat called into service because the regular state ferry is apparently broken)– It was such a nice gesture and such a fine way to begin the weekend with courtesy and kindness. I think you should know that.
